The Concierge Network has now added AMBER Alert, an early child abduction warning system to it's program line-up.

AMBER Alert is a partnership between media, transportation, and law enforcement agencies. It is activated in the case of the most urgent child abduction situations. AMBER Alert on the Concierge Network will appear as a red "crawl" across the bottom of the network screen.

The goal in adding AMBER Alert to The Concierge Network is to increase awareness and assist in the search and recovery efforts of a missing child.

There have been two studies done to estimate the number of missing children. According to the second National Incidence Studies of Missing, Abducted, Runaway, and Thrownaway Children (NISMART-2), released in 1999, an estimated 797,500 children were reported missing. These numbers are startling and require entire communities to take action to put a stop to any more chid abductions.

The addition of the AMBER Alert crawl on The Concierge Network adds yet one more avenue for the community to take action in the event of a missing child.

When a Code Amber AMBER Alert is activated, law enforcement agencies will release all known information on the missing child. Distributed into hotel rooms, nationwide, The Concierge Network allows for this alert to be seen by travelers and others who are in the travel industry making it easier to identify and recover a child who may be missing.
